Family planning

I’m not one of those moms that thrives on motherhood. You know, the ones that would love to inject it straight into their veins if they could.

That’s just not me. In fact, motherhood has been a huge learning curve for me, and most days I’m pretty much winging it.

I thought I would be one of those moms, though. I wanted five kids, all spaced no more than two years apart.

Oh, to be so naive again.

Now I know I need each kid to be somewhat independent before bringing another completely helpless family member into this house.

So now my daughter is almost 2 years old and there’s no baby No. 2 on the way yet. And I’m just fine with that.

What is the spacing between your children? How did you decide how many years you wanted between your kids, or did you have a choice?
