Is sleeping with baby safe?
There’s nothing sweeter than cuddling with your newborn baby in bed and waking up to that warm little body in the morning.
But you can’t read anything or go to any prenatal classes without being warned over and over again not to give in to the temptation of sleeping with your baby.
Still, I’ve done it from time to time and I know lots of moms whose babies never see the inside of a crib until they are almost walking.
A report from the U.S. Centers of Disease Control came out this week saying the rates of sudden infant death from suffocation or strangulation have quadrupled in the past 20 years, mostly from parents sleeping with their babies.
What do you think? Are there safe ways to sleep side by side with your little one, or should it be crib only to keep them out of danger?
