Working moms
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about moms who work while raising their children. With the economy in the toilet, I’m sure there are a lot of moms who are having to pitch in to the family budget, even if they’d rather stay home with their kids.
I work from home, squeezing in writing assignments while my daughter naps or once my husband gets home from work. I even have a baby sitter who comes a couple times a week so I can focus on work.
Just from the part-time work that I do, I have no idea how full-time working moms do it.
I always feel like there’s never enough time to keep the house clean, do the laundry, buy the groceries and cook dinner. Oh, and don’t forget about teaching my child boundaries and good social skills while encouraging brain development.
I can’t imagine doing all that after getting home in the evening from a full-time job. And besides the sheer logistics of fitting it all in, I imagine working moms must be mentally exhausted from dealing with deadlines, bosses and co-workers all day.
Honestly, how do you working moms out there fit it all in? Does some stuff have to go, or do you find ways to stretch the hours in your day?
